Applications are invited for a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor of Marketing and Executive Director of the Center for Sales and Customer Development (CSCD). This is a non-tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Marketing of the Trulaske College of Business. Start date of the appointment will be Fall 2024 or sooner.

The duties and responsibilities for this position involve teaching multiple undergraduate sections of courses in the Sales and Sales Management domain. In particular, the foundational Personal Selling class is a key responsibility. The individual in this role will report to the Chair of the Department of Marketing. He/she will also be involved in service duties such as serving on department and college committees.

In the role of Executive Director, the position involves (a) Providing leadership for the maintenance and growth of the Certificate in Sales and Customer Development program, (b) Developing and maintaining corporate partnerships for the CSCD and the Inside Sales Lab (ISL), and (c) Coordinating and leading the external fund-raising for the CSCD and the Department. The Executive Director will devote considerable attention to:

· developing major donations for the naming rights and memberships from potential CSCD's Advisory Board Members

· enrolling companies, and associations in the CSCD's tiered Preferred Partners Program

· generating sponsorships and other forms of financial support for the CSCD's events and student-focused activities such as case competitions

· participating in career fairs and other opportunities for Sales Recruiters from companies to meet and interact with Sales-focused students.

The Executive Director will also lead and coach CSCD-sponsored student teams in national Sales case competitions & workshops, organize on-campus CSCD student education activity-related special events, supervise the CSCD's staff and student assistants, interface with other marketing faculty in the Department, develop and manage internships for students in the ISL, and oversee the CSCD and the ISL budgets and student activity-related expenditures in consultation with the department chair.



· Bachelor’s degree by time of application

· Experience in sales and/or sales management

Candidates Will Be Evaluated On:

· Highest degree earned in marketing or related field.

· Previous teaching experience.

· Interest in and ability of working with corporate partners to grow the CSCD and the ISL programs.

· Interest in and ability of teaching personal selling and sales management classes.

· Familiarity with and potential ability in fund raising.
