Major/Essential Functions

  • Performs high-level, detail-oriented data analysis and reporting supporting MPIP financial performance improvement initiatives.
  • Prepares monthly MPIP, clinical department and Business Office dashboards and reports requiring advanced Excel knowledge under the direction of the MPIP Business Office Managing Director.
  • Identifies and recommends improvement opportunities through the analysis of billing and claims data.
  • Prepares ad hoc report requests.
  • Assists staff in resolving complex billing issues. Oversees medical billing clearinghouses and maintains high rates of clean claims.
  • Performs routine fee schedule maintenance to ensure charges and contracted insurance rates are accurate.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Skills:
  • Healthcare billing/finance experience is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; advanced level experience with Excel
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data, draw conclusions and articulate to key stakeholders
  • Ability to use critical thinking skills to solve complex problems
  • Ability to think creatively and develop recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, auditors and other third parties
  • Ability to maintain organizational confidentiality
