Job Description
Job Summary:

The Assistant Director of Academic Operations for MGEN plays a pivotal role in bridging faculty, students, and network campuses within the MGEN framework. Responsible for various academic functions, including faculty support, scheduling coordination, student assistance, compliance management, and network campus oversight, this role ensures the seamless operation and enhancement of academic programs.

The MGEN unit seeks to produce more effective software engineers who are substantially more capable than ever of addressing the needs of digital society in terms of time, cost, and quality. The unit will accomplish this by revolutionizing the way software is designed and evolved overtime, and believe software is a systems engineering challenge rather than a coding problem. Minimum Qualifications:

1.Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred) is required.

2.Experience in academic administration or related roles, preferably in a multi-campus educational environment is required.

3. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively is required.

4. Communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service-oriented approach is required.

5. Experience with administrative tools and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling platforms is required.

6. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and contribute to a positive team environment.

7. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive academic community that values diversity and equity.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Faculty Support:
  • Provide administrative assistance to faculty members, including coordinating meetings, managing correspondence, and facilitating resource procurement.
  • Assist in developing and implementing faculty training programs and workshops to enhance teaching effectiveness and professional development.

Scheduling Coordination:
  • Optimize course timetables and coordinate class schedules across multiple campuses to ensure efficient use of resources and minimal scheduling conflicts.
  • Manage classroom assignments, academic events, and examinations to facilitate smooth academic operations.

Student Support:
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for student inquiries, concerns, and academic support services.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students, facilitating their academic success and personal development.
  • Organize and oversee extracurricular activities, student clubs, and events to promote student engagement and community-building.

Network Campus Management:
  • Oversee coordination and standardization of academic policies across all network campuses.
  • Facilitate campus communication and collaboration, addressing any disparities or challenges.

Compliance Management:
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and accreditation standards relevant to academic operations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote compliance and mitigate risks
