Job Details

College of the Ozarks seeks applicants for the Dean of Work Education position. The Dean of Work Education is responsible for the leadership of the Work Education Program, a defining feature of the educational philosophy and student experience at the College of the Ozarks. Students work approximately 15 hours each week (with two 40-hour work weeks per year) at one of more than 80 campus workstations to offset the cost of their tuition. Many students also earn a summer work scholarship by working on campus during the summer months to pay for school year room and board charges. 

Applicants should demonstrate a strong vision for developing the Work Education Program and integrating it with the academic and student life programs. The position requires frequent communication with workstation supervisors, the academic program, and students; a dedication to workstation supervisor training and development; a broad understanding (or a willingness to develop it) of the theological foundations of work and its application; the ability to lead and manage a large team; willingness to collaborate with departments across campus to further the rich legacy of student work at College of the Ozarks and for life beyond college.  

The successful candidate must embrace the College’s Christ-centered mission and Employee Commitments The position requires a master’s degree, but a doctoral degree is preferred. Salary commensurate with experience. This position reports to the Vice President for Vocational Activities. College of the Ozarks is a small (1,400 students), liberal arts, work-study college with a commitment to evangelical Christian faith and service located in southwest Missouri near Branson..
