The Nursing Department at Brookdale Community College seeks applicants to begin Fall 2024. The Nursing Department offers courses leading to an AAS degree in Nursing and prepares students for entry-level positions in hospitals/comparable facilities. Upon completing program, students are eligible to sit for National Council Licensing Exam for Registered Nursing. Program is accredited by NJ State Board of Nursing and Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. Successful candidate will conduct classes, supervise clinical experiences, plan/teach laboratory experiences, including laboratory skills/simulations. Must be able to assist students in applying nursing theories/principles to nursing practice. May be required to teach HESC courses. 

Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing, and NJ RN license. Ability to teach Nursing offerings across the curriculum. Experience in using technology in the classroom and collaborative learning. Evidence of experience in developing, integrating, and evaluating simulation-based activities. Evidence of well-developed written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities. Demonstrated willingness to maintain skills as technology changes and to collaborate with colleagues to teach classes in various modalities – face-to-face, online via the College’s LMS. Commitment to supporting an inclusive environment on campus. Evidence of respect for and an understanding of people with diverse backgrounds, abilities, and needs. Evidence of understanding about and commitment to the philosophy of a comprehensive community college.

Annual Salary – High $60's to low $70's with benefits. (Faculty Members teaching extra courses or working additional hours during the academic year and in the summer receive additional compensation.)
