POSITION SUMMARY
The Community Colleges offer two-year liberal arts degrees as well as certificate programs in technical, career and occupational fields. The Colleges make their educational efforts available to a varied population within which specific skills may be lacking in basic subject areas necessary for success in higher education. The Simulation & Nursing Lab Specialist, Nursing and Allied Health Assists with the management of remedial and supplemental tutoring and skill building training to improve student proficiency in nursing and Allied Health.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree in Nursing with a current, unrestricted RN license and two (2) or more years prior full-time employment, or the equivalent, in clinical practice.

The successful candidate must have experience in the following:

  • Academic and skills assessment methods.
  • Curriculum development, implementation and evaluations.
  • Familiarity with physical and learning disabilities.
  • Remedial, developmental and adult education methods and techniques.
  • Computer-based instructional technology.
  • Supervision of staff.
  • Budget management.
  • Excellent written communication

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Under the direction of the Academic Division Director, the Simulation & Nursing Lab Specialist, Nursing and Allied Health is accountable for providing the remedial and learning assistance needed to improve students' proficiency in an assigned academic subject area by assisting in these essential functional areas: Program development; Service delivery; Training and development of staff; Alternative curricular design; Evaluation of Student Learning Outcomes.

STARTING SALARY $38.50 hourly
