Job Details

This nine-month position reports to the director and will teach mainly graduate and undergraduate sculpture courses as well as 3-D design, though opportunities to teach in other areas of the School of Art will be available. Course load will consist of three courses fall semester and three courses spring semester. Additional duties include the supervision of graduate assistants and management of the sculpture facility.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • MFA in sculpture or related studio art field.
  • Knowledge and expertise of current and traditional sculpture practices.
  • Experience teaching sculpture at the university level.
  • Experience managing a sculpture facility.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Skill in using CNC router, 3D printers, and laser cutters.
  • Ability to teach in supplemental areas in the School of Art.

The School of Art has an extensive sculpture facility including lecture space, welding and casting area, fabrication lab, tool storage area with close proximity to the woodshop, slurry room, and a large work area with two adjacent graduate studios. It is co-located with ceramics.
