Position, Department: Senior Auditor, Audit & Advisory Services

Type of Position: Full-time Salaried, Exempt

Work Schedule, Hours per week: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., 40 hours per week

Pay Range: $61,900- $80,900 and determined based on relevant years of work experience.

Position Summary: Manage and optimize Johnson County Community College (JCCC) auditing activities. Ensure financial operations and controls are accurate and fully compatible with standards and regulations in this sphere.

Required Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 6+ years of experience. Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree and professional certification (such as CPA٫ CIA, CFE) a plus

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
  • Assist in developing risk assessments for critical business processes.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with management to define the scope and timeline of audits.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to leadership and internal clients.
  • Draft test steps and procedures to test processes and controls.
  • Prepare comprehensive work papers presented in accordance with professional standards that support the reported conclusions.

  • Ensure timely completion of audits.
  • Monitor and validate management action plan status.
  • Remain updated with changes or updates in financial regulations and standards.
