Community College of Philadelphia is seeking to fill an Office Administrative Associate A position. Reporting to the Director, the Office Administrative Associate A provides administrative support for the administrators of the Northeast Regional Center. The Office Administrative Associate A supports the Director in the coordination of office tasks and activities related to the effective operations of the center and community outreach events. This position works collaboratively with various College departments, staff, and faculty to serve the needs of the center, and provides quality customer service to visitors and guests.

• High School diploma or its equivalent (e.g. GED) required.

• Six (6) years of administrative office work experience required.

• Demonstrated proficiency using MS Word and Excel is required.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information required.

• Excellent customer service, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills required.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment, and follow through on issues in a timely manner required.

• An understanding of, and sensitivity to, the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of community college staff and students required.

• Ability to work extended hours, as needed, is required.


Preferred Qualifications

• Associates degree is preferred. Any and all degrees must be from a recognized institutional accreditor.

• Previous administrative experience in higher education preferred.

• Experience with Banner or another enterprise-wide system preferred.
