Primary Purpose of Position:
The Department of Art and Design includes a dedicated and experienced individual in the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Art History. The successful individual will have a strong commitment to teaching, research, and service. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of art history at NCCU and to work closely with students, faculty, and the wider community.

Minimum Education/Experience:
A M.A., MFA, or Ph.D. (preferred) in Art History or a closely related field.A demonstrated record of excellence in teaching at the university level. Experience teaching in Art History is preferred.A strong publication record.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
This faculty member must have extensive knowledge of art history across several eras. They must be able to instruct students in a lecture classroom and utilize digital AV equipment to address the visual aspect of course subject matter.
