School Psychology OPEN RANK FACULTY (Clinical Instructor to Professor)

This is an open rank Clinical Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor position that will be housed in the Department of Human Services and Educational Leadership. It is expected this position will serve the Masters School Psychology program, which is currently NASP-approved. The program is unique in that it offers a distance education track that attracts students working in underserved school districts.

Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Specialist-level degree (minimum of 60 graduate semester hours or equivalent) in school psychology. Only one position may be filled at this level (Clinical Instructor). At the specialist level, the candidate must also have significant school-based experience.
  2. Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or ability and commitment to becoming an LSSP in Texas.
  3. Ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals.
  4. Ability to mentor graduate students.
  5. Commitment to be trained as an NASP Program Reviewer.
  6. Commitment to be trained as an NCSP Reviewer.
  7. Commitment to teaching synchronously via Zoom or related platform.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience working in schools as a school psychologist.
  2. Experience supervising school psychology practicum and/or intern students.
  3. Ph.D. in School Psychology.
  4. Ability and desire to teach some or all of the following: Research Methods, Assessment, Practicum, Consultation, School-Based Applied Behavior Analysis.
  5. Record of peer-reviewed publications and presentations.
  6. Experience with NASP accreditation.
  7. NCSP applicant reviewer.
  8. Experience with teaching distance education classes.
Only one of the two positions may be filled at the Clinical Instructor rank. This position is only offered for an individual with a specialist-level degree in school psychology and who has extensive work experience in a school as a school psychologist. Either position can be filled at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank.
