Summary
The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Emergency Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM), in association with the Texas Children's Hospital, is seeking pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) physicians to provide patient care in the Emergency Centers of Texas Children's - Medical Center, West, and The Woodlands Campuses. Continually recognized as one of the nation's premier children's healthcare systems, the Emergency Medicine Section services the largest pediatric emergency center in South Central Texas, treating more than 150,000 patients annually. Modern, state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, strong nursing and tech support, collaborative partnerships with other services, and a cutting-edge operations system serve to bolster professional efforts and overall staff satisfaction. Many of our 60+ faculty have specialized training in medical education, point of care ultrasound, global health, advocacy, and research. Candidates will enter as Assistant Professor, tenure, or non-tenure track, based on experience and qualifications. Salary and benefit packages are competitive.
Clinical duties for PEM physicians are to evaluate, diagnose, manage, consult, and treat all patients who seek care in the Texas Children's Emergency Centers for any problem or complaint. Core privileges include performance of high stakes and other procedures commonly performed or needing to be performed urgently or emergently.
