The Department of Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate (FIRE) in the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting a pool of adjunct faculty applicants for the 2023-2024 academic year. This pool will be accessed only when an opening arises.
This posting will remain active until June 30, 2024. After June 30, 2024, you will need to reapply to the updated posting if you would like to remain in the adjunct pool.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Adjunct faculty will be responsible for teaching classes in the Department of Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate (FIRE).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Insurance or Real Estate or a closely related discipline at the time the appointment begins for Undergraduate Class Teaching
- Master’s degree in finance, Insurance or Real Estate or a closely related discipline at the time the appointment begins for Graduate Class Teaching
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in Finance, Insurance or Real Estate or a closely related discipline at the time the appointment begins
- Prior teaching experience
