The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be board-eligible or certified by the American Board of Radiology. Completion of a musculoskeletal imaging fellowship is strongly recommended.

Teaching responsibilities include daily clinical supervision and teaching of residents and fellows during readouts and conferences and participating in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical sub-specialties. Teaching of medical students will be limited to those rotating through the Department of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Pennsylvania Hospital.

Clinical responsibilities include providing clinical service in the usual clinical skill sets (PF, CT, MRI, arthrograms/joint aspirations). In addition, competence in diagnostic MSK US and image-guided tumor biopsies will be expected. The successful candidate will also participate in the Musculoskeletal Imaging off-hours on call program, including evening, night and weekend coverage.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing a focused body of research in a field within Musculoskeletal Imaging. The candidate will also be expected to serve as a co-mentor to trainees, providing strong guidance and support in developing clinical or basic research careers.

Penn Radiology provides clinical services for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia Veteran Affairs Medical Center, and affiliated outpatient imaging centers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
