Responsibilities
  • Communicates with customers to determine event details and requirements, evaluates requests, recommends service plans and pricing, and provides status updates

  • Schedules logistics and secures resources for all aspects of events including space, vendors, and staff; and coordinates details and resolves operational issues

  • Monitors and processes event related transactions and event data and records

  • Greets customers/guests, assists with registration, answers questions, and refers complex issues to appropriate entities

  • Assists with planning and the creation of promotional materials and resources for events


Qualifications
Required:
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to interact positively with a diverse staff and clientele

  • Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion


Preferred:
  • Experience in special event planning, coordination and execution

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Knowledge and experience with setting up and troubleshooting special event and presentation style technology (ie: microphones, camera’s, projectors, computer equipment, livestreaming technology)

  • Experience working with a computerized reservation or event management software system.

  • Experience using an event diagram software
