MISSION: To educate Christians who will make a difference in the world for Jesus Christ. 

RESPONSIBLITIES:  Primary responsibility is teaching courses in the chemistry minor and in support of the Biology major. These classes will include General Chemistry I and II (with labs), Physical Science lab, Biochemistry, and a survey of General, Organic, and Biochemistry for nursing majors.  The successful candidate will be able to champion the chemistry minor, support the biology major, and advise students.  The successful candidate must teach the subject matter in a manner that is consistent with the university’s Statement of Faith.  Other duties include academic advising, curriculum and program development, and university and departmental committee work. Corban University faculty are expected to be active scholars, excellent teachers, active in service to the university and the community, and able to model the integration of faith and learning.

Education:   Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or closely related field and have a commitment to and a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching. 

Experience:   Applicants should have at least two years full-time collegiate teaching experience.   Candidate should have strong teaching and leadership skills and have a demonstrated record of active participation in professional organizations.

Character:  The candidate must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and evidence a mature Christian faith, be in agreement with the University’s Statement of Faith, be committed to the integration of biblical principles within the discipline and be willing to invest him/herself in the development of undergraduate students.
