About the Opportunity:
The Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor- Global Network is seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to serve as the Vice Chancellor for Global Network Operations. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice Chancellor they will play a hands-on, executive-level role, serving as a strategist, advisor and executor to ensure that global network growth initiatives are aligned with the priorities of the Chancellor and the colleges. The Vice Chancellor will have executive-level management skills along with top-level strategic and operational insight and the ability to assist and lead in the implementation of initiatives throughout the global network of campuses.

Responsibilities:
Objectives of this Role include:
  • In collaboration with leadership develop comprehensive innovative strategies to sustain the growth of the network and campuses.
  • In conjunction with Regional Deans, lead strategic planning and goal setting efforts across the network including tracking goals to ensure annual and long terms goals are successfully met.
  • Identify opportunities and products to grow enrollment. Manage strategic investments & ROI in innovative projects and products to support new growth opportunities for the university.
  • Serve as point of contact between global campus system, academic colleges, and internal stakeholders.
  • Leverage the university's expertise to serve the educational and economic development needs of the regions served by the campuses; encourage development and collaboration of entrepreneurial academic offerings.
  • Provide strong management, financial and operations oversight.
  • Manages the operating, facilities, capital, and construction budgets for the network. Determines the operating and capital requirements and allocations to service the needs of all campuses. Leads the budget planning process. Develops strategies and funding proposals.
  • Oversee the quality of the learner experience, working with the College deans and university partners to monitor the academic and learner experience; communicate areas of concern; and maintain the consistent level of quality expected throughout the University.

Qualifications
  • BA required, MBA preferred
  • Ideal candidate is a self-reflective, self-starter who likes to work within a varied and dynamic network of stakeholders
  • Progressively responsible leadership in a high energy environment working with an innovation leadership agenda; including 5-10 years of experience working with executive-level leaders
  • Highly-developed communications skills (written/verbal) and interpersonal savvy
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with demonstrated ability to work independently and make decisions in a timely manner based on thoughtful analysis and critical judgment.
  • Results/action-orientation
  • Organizational and political agility; developed negotiation skills
  • Tact, diplomacy and superb interpersonal skills required to establish close relationships with key influencers around campus
  • Able to successfully navigate within varying degrees of ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Managerial strengths in achieving goals through empowering others
  • Inspirational leadership traits and dynamic motivational ability
  • Flexibility and agility are keys to success.

  • Travel to Regional Campuses is required.
