Work Schedule, Hours per week: Hours Vary, 25 hours per week

Pay Range: $16.50-$20.63 and determined based on relevant years of work experience.

Position Summary: Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor handle receiving, logging, and routing of all General Course Material deliveries, check-in, stocking, online order processing, and return of textbooks and merchandise. Perform operational duties at buyback, rental check-in at the end of each semester, and take part in cyclical and fiscal, physical inventory.

Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and two years related work required. Must be able to utilize basic math skills for cost/retail calculations. Familiarity with POS/Inventory Management system, preferably MBS, required. Ability to operate general office equipment and use MS office required. Communicate and work effectively with diverse college community. Upon hiring, must have a valid driver’s license and be certified through JCCC to drive box truck.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
  • Complete textbook receiving, online order processing and returns. Performance is acceptable when: a. Logging of received product and invoices are processed in an accurate and timely manner for pass-thru to A/P. b. Check-in of new product, general course materials, happens in a timely manner for stocking on the sales floor. c. Textbooks and Course materials are tagged accurately. d. Backorders are processed in a timely manner. e. Returns are pulled and readied for processing in a timely manner. f. Communicate to supervisor about any changes or issues on incoming products.
  • Provide assistance and support for faculty, staff and students on the sales floor. Performance is acceptable when: a. Stock shelves, check-in orders, and provide sales floor assistance as needed. b. Participate in weekly, cyclical and fiscal, physical inventories. c. Complete required duties accurately, communicate effectively, and prioritize workload. d. Driving a box truck may be necessary for pickups or deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse area. Performance is acceptable when: a. Make sure non-merchandise equipment is kept in working order and is maintained. b. Keep warehouse, dock area, and buyback area free of snow/ice and debris. c. Back stock of product is clearly labeled and organized for staff to find and ease of inventory.
