Position Summary: The Administrative Coordinator of Federal Grants is integral to the management and operational success of our Title III and V grant projects. This role involves close collaboration with project directors to ensure smooth administration, financial oversight, and compliance with university and federal guidelines. The Administrative Coordinator will play a key role in scheduling, budgeting, communication, and record-keeping, making it a pivotal position within our academic support structure.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage and maintain the appointment calendars for the grant project directors.
  • Administer annual budgets, including monthly updates and reconciliations.
  • Coordinate communication across university departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Serve as the recording secretary for official meetings and custodian of grant records.
  • Prepare and compile information for reports and presentations.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalent; some college preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with other presentation tools.
  • Understanding of budget planning and development principles.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record.

Desirable Skills:

  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with social media and web page management.

Working Conditions: The role primarily involves standard office tasks with occasional requirements to move books and equipment. The work environment is a general office setting with minimal physical hazards.
