Summary/Objective: The Registrar is an experienced leader who is committed to student learning and success and will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of each matriculated student’s academic record and upholding the academic policies of the College.
Essential Functions:
- Managing the daily operations of the Registrar’s Office.
- Acts as the face and voice for student, parent, faculty, and staff communications as it relates to the Office of the Registrar.
- Providing direction and oversight of new and continuing student registration.
- Maintaining, updating, and creating policy as needed for each matriculated student’s academic record.
- Updating academic records to reflect official status changes including withdraws, leaves of absence, program changes, probation statuses, etc.
- Provide required reports to government and state agencies, third-party and internal departments as required.
- Update and create retention and destruction policies for student records.
- Transfer credit evaluation (when applicable).
- Grade processing and reporting.
- Final grade inquiry process management and resolution.
- Enrollment and certificate verification.
- Transcript production and verification.
- Maintain, interpret, implement and help create institutional policies that comply with state and federal academic regulations (including FERPA).
- Establishing policies for access to student records in regards to FERPA.
- Maintenance and oversight of student enrollment from semester to semester.
- Other duties as assigned.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm, in which the college is open. As this is an exempt position. Due to the nature of the responsibilities you may be required to work a flexible schedule, as necessary.
Required Education and Experience
- Detail-oriented
- Proven Leader
- Ability to communicate well both written and verbally
- Computer savvy on industry software, including MS Office Suite.
