Position Overview:

Produce visual solutions for use in marketing materials, training manuals, and other media. Plan, schedule, and implement graphic design projects. Review design drafts, proof camera-ready art, and ensure proper pagination and color assignment. Apply established corporate branding specifications to ensure work meets university guidelines. Assist in Web design and creating online content. May produce technical illustrations for manuals, brochures, labels, or other documents.

Department Specific Essential Job Functions:

Designs and produces projects in the areas of graphic design and other special projects to promote the College of Liberal Arts. Project manager and lead designer in the areas of graphic design for staff and customers. Manages work flow, timelines, and schedules for projects. Manages and directs student workers with various technical responsibilities. Reviews project success and impact with customers to ascertain level of customer satisfaction. Provides technical guidance and consulting to departments, faculty and staff about project development related to the areas of graphic design. Maintains college website on a daily basis and engages in periodic review of design, and functionality to make it user friendly and help draw prospective students to the fields of study. Designs, develops and administers surveys and forms for internal and external customers. Writes, designs and develops newsletter in WordPress. Designs, develops and codes mass email for student research projects and monthly newsletter. Assists faculty with presentations to students on effective design of large-format academic presentations. Assists students and faculty with digital and print presentations for courses and academic conferences. Creates digital content for lobby displays and administers displays. Updates events on campus master calendar. Designs, creates, and deploys content on various social media (facebook, twitter, Instagram).

Qualifications

Qualifications Required:

Requires a university degree in field plus 3+ years of relevant experience in the chosen field or 7+ years of equivalent work experience that provides knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. Requires the application of expertise in a chosen field to achieve results.
