Student Experience Mentor (PA, Bethlehem)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Student Experience Mentor (SEM) is responsible for supporting the student through all phases of the lifecycle including admissions and enrollment, financial aid, and registration. First and foremost, this is a position focused on recruitment and enrollment of graduate students. They will serve as the primary point of contact for Graduate students throughout their student lifecycle at Moravian University. The SEM will develop and manage new initiatives that support increasing enrollment, building better student experiences, and improving retention and persistence. The successful candidates will be incredibly well organized and strong communicators; interpersonally, technologically, and in writing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain pipelines of prospective students for assigned programs.
• Create and maintain a recruitment strategy to support meeting or exceeding enrollment targets.
• Interact closely with all assigned students (current and prospective) via phone, email, and virtual platforms and develop coaching relationships to drive retention and student satisfaction.
• Guide prospective students through all application processes.
• Provide financial aid support to current and prospective students.
• Act as a single point of contact to direct students to campus resources.
• Monitor key indicators and predictive analytic feedback; contact and counsel at-risk students.
• Prepare performance reports on enrollment funnel, financial aid, retention, and student outcomes.
• Represent Moravian University at education fairs, conferences, and other off-campus events as assigned. Some overnight travel may be required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the DGA or his/her designee.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required and a minimum of 2 years of experience in college or university admission preferred; excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to represent the University effectively to various audiences; and an ability and desire to work closely with all constituencies of the University including students, staff and faculty, in addition to the general public; demonstrated commitment to and success in working with a diverse population of students and parents/supporters; demonstrated ability to manage the visit processes and experiences and leverage data in decision-making; an understanding of the higher education and enrollment landscapes and prospective student markets; sense of humor, innovative thinking, and a data-informed orientation; familiarity with marketing email and social platforms and the design and execution of drip-marketing campaigns; experience leveraging event management tools, and an understanding of how customer data integrates with an institutional CRM; computer literacy, as well as experience with a CRM (Salesforce/TargetX is preferred), Microsoft Office, Google drive, particularly database applications, word processing and spreadsheets, is required.
