The Department of Biology at the University of Dallas invites applications for a 1-year, full-time position as an Affiliate Assistant Professor of Biology. Candidates should have a background in health sciences, anatomy, or physiology with a Ph.D. in a related field or medical degree completed by the position start date of August 21, 2024. The applicant should demonstrate a firm commitment to undergraduate education at a liberal arts institution and have an interest in teaching some combination of the following: Anatomy, Physiology, Anatomy Lab, Physiology Lab, non-majors Human Biology, and non-majors Human Biology Lab. The teaching load for this position is nine credit hours (3 courses) per semester.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach nine credits each semester, a combination of Anatomy, Physiology, Anatomy Lab, Physiology Lab, Human Biology, Human Biology Lab.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT

Ph.D. in a related field or medical degree completed by the position start date of August 21, 2024.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

Teaching experience on the collegiate level. 

 

 

Candidates should submit a letter of interest clearly indicating the primary and secondary teaching field(s), a curriculum vitae detailing all academic and professional experience, a teaching statement, and a research statement if available. Applicants should articulate an understanding of and support for the mission of the university through these documents. References will be requested from candidates invited for an interview.
