Job Description

Under the direction of the Shelden Clinical Simulation Center Executive Director, this incumbent will promote simulation training to the targeted population, community, and schools by developing hands-on simulation training programs for four years. This will be accomplished through training, marketing, consultation, and technical support in simulation. This position will be funded by a grant through June 30, 2027.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop Mobile Simulation Services in surrounding areas.
• Understand the use and operation of and troubleshoot different simulation technologies ranging from screen-based simulations to full body patient simulators and virtual reality simulators.
• Conduct routine equipment maintenance, inventory updates, and recommend equipment purchases.
• Maintain database for Mobile Sim participants, scenarios used, frequency of equipment used.
• Assist with Mobile Sim program marketing and information management.
• Assist with other special projects or initiatives as needed.
• Extensive statewide travel will be required for this position and some overnight trips.
• Self-motivated and require little to no supervision with the ability to work as a team member.
• Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic environment; able to work occasional evening/weekends.
• Work requires occasional heavy physical lifting of equipment and management/utilization of advanced medical devices.
• Establish and maintain professional communications with organizations, campus, community, and other entities.
• Collaborate with other health care professions or other content specialists to develop, implement, teach, and recruit for health programs utilizing own resources and document cost of implementation.
• Provide on-going evaluation of outreach recruitment/education programs and appropriately modify and/or update public information and program content as needed.
• Participate in the development of long-range, health education/recruitment plans.

Shift

Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in public health, health education, adult education, nursing or a related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary. A degree in nursing is preferred. Two to three years' experience in nursing, health education, adult education, and or marketing.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $51,875-$81,744 (yearly)
Grade: GGS-9E
