The University of Washington School of Law is hiring for one tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor, to teach and publish in constitutional law.


The faculty member hired for this position will reinvigorate the constitutional law and federal rights offerings and anchor the School of Law as a major researcher in constitutional law and federal rights law.  Teaching will include Constitutional Law I and II, and other federal rights-based courses depending on teaching needs. The successful applicant will be expected to maintain a record of scholarship and demonstrate consistent scholarly excellence through regular scholarship production, maintaining the School of Law’s national reputation in constitutional law. The successful applicant will form external relationships and obtain external funding for related programs.


This is a full-time, 9-month position - September through June of every academic year. It's promotion-eligible through the professorial track. The anticipated start date is September 2024. The salary range for this position will be $150,000 - $210,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.


All UW faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.

Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) or foreign equivalent
