Under general supervision is responsible for the administrative and academic functions of the Mathematical Sciences Department. Teaches at the undergraduate and graduate levels, leads the faculty in continued curricular development, engages in and promotes active research, and leads initiatives to build the academic program and to secure necessary funding and accreditations.

Education
A Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related discipline from an accredited institution is required. The successful applicant should be eligible for a tenured Professor level position, and should have a distinguished record of successful program administration in an academic setting and a reputation for teaching, research and intellectual leadership.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
Ability to:
Experience in teaching, research and service, and in administration at department or project level in a 4‐year institution preferred.
A record of significant grantsmanship research achievement, and publication is necessary.
