The Advancement division at Dartmouth is seeking a dynamic Senior Associate Director to join our Corporate and Foundation Relations team. In this pivotal role, our new team member will manage a portfolio of corporate and foundation prospects and nurture relationships that culminate in the development of proposals for substantial corporate and foundation gifts and grants that align with institutional priorities and support groundbreaking research by our faculty, centers, and institutes with particular emphasis on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.  Collaboration is at the heart of our approach.  As our new colleague, you will work closely with faculty, senior administration, and other stakeholders to identify and pursue corporate and foundation opportunities that advocate Dartmouth's distinctive strengths to corporate and foundation communities, with a particular emphasis on STEM.  This gratifying work is highlighted by a collaborative team spirit, where support and enthusiasm propel every fundraiser and team member toward success in their endeavors. At least seven years of experience fundraising in a complex college or university development operation and a bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.  Experience working with corporations and foundations, as well as knowledge of STEM fields is important to the success of this role.  Writing, communication, and project management will help advance our work and keep it on track.  We value your collaborative spirit, recognizing and adept relationship-building skills will be pivotal in fostering new opportunities for success in partnerships and fundraising endeavors.  Our work celebrates creativity and an entrepreneurial approach, and we embrace a culture that champions all ideas.  Our team encourages the exploration of innovative approaches that will further enrich and elevate our fundraising endeavors.
