The Psychological Science program at the University of Central Missouri ( https://www.ucmo.edu/psychology/ ) seeks to fill a tenure-track assistant professor position in Psychology. The position begins August 2022. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester; opportunities to teach during the summer are available. Excellence in teaching, productivity in research, and service to the school, college, and university are required for promotion and tenure. Education & Formal Training Doctorate degree (Specify field(s) of study below) Other Education & Formal Training
Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Neuroscience, Biology Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, or related area of Psychology required.

While advanced ABD candidates will be considered, completion of the doctoral degree is required by the start of the appointment. Computer Skills Experience
Successful candidates will provide evidence of excellence in teaching, and the ability and interest to involve undergraduate students in their research as well as to foster student career/professional development.

Applicant must be able to teach Physiological Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Sensation & Perception, Research Design & Analysis, and General Psychology. In addition, the ability to teach additional courses as needed by the program such as History of Psychology or Orientation to Psychology, as well as training and experience in program evaluation and assessment, are preferred.
