Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will join a vibrant and inclusive educational community and have a desire and ability to work with a diverse population. This is a part-time, non-unit position with no benefits.

The Nursing Admissions Processing Assistant is critical to the day-to-day operations of the Admissions team, providing the application and data processing responsibilities of the Admissions team in order to meet strategic enrollment goals of MassBay Community College.


Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Evaluate and match high volumes of supplementary documents to the student record;
  • Review application data for students on a daily basis;
  • Communicate in a professional manner to students, faculty, administrators and outside agencies.This includes but is not limited to communications via phone, email, electronic and written correspondence;
  • Compile a variety of information from both manual and computerized records and files for regular and special reports and in response to specific requests by supervisor or others; prepare reports as requested;
  • Stay abreast of best practices in college admissions functions;
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Associate’s Degree or an equivalent 3 years’ experience is required;
  • Experience in organizing and maintaining moderately complex filing and records systems;
  • Previous experience with computerized information systems;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word;
  • Strong attention to detail and advanced organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Sensitivity and commitment to the goals of Affirmative Action and workforce diversity;
  • Experience working in a diverse environment;
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with underserved students;
  • Familiarity with CRM database and the Electronic Filing Cabinet (EFC) a plus.
  • Prior University or Admission experience preferred

Salary Range: $35 per hour


Position Type: Part Time Employee
