Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Teaching Professor with administrative responsibilities. In addition to teaching, this non-tenure line faculty member will serve as the Academic Director for the Master of Science in Global Real Assets (MS-GRA) Program. The M.S in Global Real Assets (MS-GRA) program is a 12-month full-time program (entirely on-campus plus a 1-week Global Experience) in Real Assets that provides the real estate and infrastructure (real assets) education for an industry that is radically evolving following the Global Pandemic and rapid rise of interest rates.  This innovative program launched in August 2023 with an inaugural cohort of 40 students.

This position covers 15 credits of teaching/administrative responsibilities including:

  • Leading the MS-GRA program and overseeing the overall planning and execution of the program in collaboration with the business school’s academic leadership, the Dean, and the Steers Center for Global Real Estate.
  • Teaching courses with emphasis on real estate and/or infrastructure in the MS-GRA and other programs across McDonough.
  • Engaging in short-term and long-term strategic planning to ensure the quality of the academic experience.
  • Collaborating with faculty to make continuous improvements to the curriculum and courses.
  • Advising students and engaging with student leadership.
  • Engaging with internal and external constituents to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Coordinating with administrative, careers, and admissions staff, and
  • Interacting with Georgetown University alumni focused in real estate and infrastructure including the Advisory Board for the Steers Center for Global Real Estate.

Candidates must hold a graduate degree (a Ph.D. is preferred) in Business or Real Estate/Infrastructure or a related discipline.  We are seeking dynamic candidates with demonstrated ability to successfully teach courses in the real assets space and with relevant professional experience in the field.  The successful candidate must be a visionary and thought leader who can adapt and guide the program toward the changing real assets landscape. The appointment can begin as early as July 2024, and the search process will continue until the position is filled.
