Job Summary

As a Professional/Senior Professional Research Assistant, in the Integrative Physiology of Aging Laboratory at the University of Colorado Boulder, you will be directing an NIH-funded lifestyle intervention study in human subjects assessing the ability of the intervention to lower blood pressure and improve vascular function in mid-life and older adults.

You will work closely with the laboratory director, laboratory manager, postdoctoral associates, professional research associates, graduate and undergraduate students. As such, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
  • Data collection, management and analysis of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular functional outcomes
  • Maintaining study regulatory approvals
  • Maintaining study documents
  • Decision-making regarding participant inclusion/enrollment and management of adverse events and protocol deviations (with guidance from study physician)
  • Working with laboratory staff to complete monthly and annual regulatory reporting requirements
  • Oversee students, employees and volunteers conducting study visits
  • Oversee collection, storage and analysis of study biological samples
  • Provide data interpretation and visualization for manuscripts and grants

This position is open to a Professional Research Assistant and/or a Senior Professional Research assistant based upon candidate qualifications.

What We Can Offer

The starting salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000 annually.

What We Require
  • MS and 3+ years clinical research oversight in physiology, kinesiology, applied physiology or related field
  • Experience leading human subjects studies
  • Mentorship or management experience
  • Sound knowledge of human cardiovascular physiology
