Position Summary

A postdoctoral associate position is available with the Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science ( IAD ) at the University at Buffalo. We develop large-scale AI software and hardware systems to accelerate AI innovations in various societal impactful applications, across many disciplines including but not limited to sustainability and education.

The position will require the potential candidate to perform the following major job duties:

• Conduct advanced and independent research with consultation of the IAD Director and Co-Directors in the related research areas
• Preparing manuscripts and publishing high-quality journal and conference papers in known venues of the field
• Assist IAD stakeholders and affiliated faculty to develop and prepare multi-disciplinary, multi-institution proposals
• Mentor and lead junior researchers to carry out their respective research topics

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (PhD) or equivalent from an international university in areas related to Artificial Intelligence and/or Data Science
• All degree requirements including dissertation must be completed prior to start date

Preferred Qualifications

• Peer-reviewed publications as first-author or co-authors
• Strong communication skills
• Less than 5 years of prior postdoctoral experience

$70,000 - $75,000
