Job Details


Leads the coordination of all Centenary intercultural and internationally-focused programs. Markets, promotes, and facilitates intercultural and study abroad opportunities. Pursues new opportunities for students to engage in global service or study abroad. Supports international degree-seeking and exchange students at the College.


  •  Leads marketing and promotion of international opportunities, including the Trek Fair.
  •  Serves as the liaison for intercultural and study abroad programs to campus stakeholders and related campus offices.
  •  Serves as lead administrator for intercultural travel programs including pre-registration process, travel orientations for faculty and students, and assessment of intercultural and study abroad programs.
  •  Works with faculty leading intercultural travel courses including development of appropriate budgets, travel logistics, and reporting.
  •  Supports international exchange and degree-seeking students throughout their tenure at Centenary.
  •  Organizes enrichment opportunities for visiting international exchange students including orientation, educational programming, and other related experiences.
  •  Serves as the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) to all F-1 visa holding international students on our campus.
  •  Assists in the coordination and organization of the Passport Points Program, which provides funds for student international education travel.
  •  Tracks compliance and completion of the Trek Culture requirements in collaboration with the Registrar's Office.
  •  Advises students seeking approval for and creating independent study abroad courses and independent culture projects.
  •  Assists with risk management and assessment for all Centenary sponsored international travel opportunities.
  •  Other related projects, duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


  •  Master's Degree
  •  Cross-cultural sensitivity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with confidential information
  •  International experience such as study or extended travel abroad
  •  Good communication skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of people
  •  Well organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently and manage multiple projects
  •  Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and database applications


  •  Terminal degree in a related field
  •  Three or more years related experience
  •  Demonstrable experience with international education at the post-secondary level
  •  Prior teaching experience
  •  Working knowledge of a second language
