OLIVE-HARVEY COLLEGE

Olive-Harvey’s Middle College is seeking an Assistant Principal, Middle College. An Assistant Principal, Middle College is responsible for assisting the Principal in providing leadership and academic integrity for the instructional program of the Middle College.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Assists Principal with establishing and directing the activities and projects of the high school.
    • Oversees compliance with all City Colleges policies and procedures and those of other funding agencies.
    • Ensures that all staff knows, understands, and carry out responsibilities related to school policies and procedures.
    • Assists with recruitment of quality faculty and staff.
    • Ensures faculty and staff compliance with established goals and performance standards.
    • Assists with monitoring school and student progress.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Master’s Degree in Education or a related field.
    • Five or more years of general supervisory experience.
    • Proven track record in urban environment and alternative education.
    • Type 75 certification preferred or equivalent and ability to acquire Illinois certification.
    • Ability to organize and manage school operations.
    • Experience in grant writing preferred.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Must be computer proficient with knowledge of a variety of software programs.
