The Department of Biomedical Engineering ( BME ) at University at Buffalo (UB) invites candidates to apply for a non-tenure track Teaching Assistant Professor (Lecturer 12 mo.) position. We are particularly looking for candidates who can operate effectively in a team environment and in a diverse community of students and faculty and share our vision of helping all constituents reach their full potential.
The Department of Biomedical Engineering is a joint venture between the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences ( SEAS ) and the Jacob’s School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences ( JSMBS ) and it offers bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must possess a PhD in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, biological engineering, or a related field. PhD must be conferred, or all academic requirements completed prior to appointment.

- teaching and development of biomedical engineering courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level, especially courses related to biomedical instrumentation, biomedical circuits and signals, biomedical design, biological systems engineering, biomedical artificial intelligence, and machine learning;
- student advisement at both the undergraduate and graduate level; hands on learning; l
- laboratory and instrumentation prototyping and upgrading;
- industry internships; student excellence initiatives; ABET objectives; diversity enhancement; and external educational grant support in collaboration with the BME Undergraduate and Graduate Studies Committees.
