Admissions Systems & Communications Analyst

Job Summary
The Admissions Systems & Communications Analyst oversees and executes communication campaigns within the Slate CRM system to support admissions goals. Creates and deploys communications content to increase enrollment interest, inquiries, applications, deposits, and yield. Leverages a comprehensive understanding of the admissions and enrollment process to provide direct support in administrative, analytical, and operational functions. Creates and implements processes that enable staff to reach enrollment targets. Supports other offices within Enrollment Management.

Job Description

Typical duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Oversees communications to a wide variety of prospective student audiences using compelling and engaging content in written and visual formats.
  • Acts as the primary Slate admissions communications administrator. Manages the day-to-day operation, use, and configuration of communications in the system.
  • Works closely with the Admissions team to build, maintain, and enhance communication streams for prospective and accepted students to achieve desired enrollment outcomes.
  • Creates and executes long-term plans for the function of the CRM within the department as it relates to recruitment management and prospect communications.
  • Serves as a project manager for the ongoing implementation of the CRM system. Evaluates and ensures CRM system implementation project goals are being met.
  • Manages system changes, updates, and releases. Verifies through testing and auditing that all objects, permissions, and assignments are performing as expected. Addresses or escalates issues as needed.
  • Serves as liaison with other offices regarding the technical needs of Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions.
  • Develops queries for target audiences and ensures the accuracy of data prior to sending communications.
  • Processes communication campaigns in support of Enrollment Management strategy.
  • Provides information and data/statistics used in the analysis and evaluation of the performance of enrollment management systems.
  • Develops reports and dashboards and analyzes data to evaluate enrollment marketing and admissions communications strategies.
  • Communicates changes in system functionality to admissions leadership and staff in a prompt and effective manner.
  • Collaborates across the department to facilitate and improve the operation of digital workflows and to increase enrollment and retention rates.
  • Provides systems-related training for admissions staff.
  • Stays current on trends and education in recruitment and enrollment web-based technology in order to develop new and improved services.
  • Stays current on FGCU Branding Guidelines and applies standards as appropriate to admissions communications.

Other Duties:
  • Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of University and Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions office policies and practices.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications:
  • This position requires either eight years of directly related full-time experience or, as an alternative, a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of full-time experience directly related to the job functions.
  • Experience using admissions CRM technology.
  • Experience creating and editing content.
  • Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
  • Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization.
  • Two years of professional full-time experience in higher education.
  • Experience working with Slate CRM.
  • Experience working with large datasets and using exploratory data analysis to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Experience working in a University admissions office.

  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to the position.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects within deadlines.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training presentations and programs.

  • Ability to develop, interpret, and evaluate procedures.
