Job Details
The Art Department at New Jersey City University is seeking adjunct instructors with experience in either or all of the following: UI/UX, Motion Graphics, Web Design, and/or Interactive Design. Candidates must possess a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Art, Graphic Design, or Communication Design, and demonstrated experience in the Design applications listed above as applicable.
Adjunct faculty typically teach one course per semester in a 5-hour block that meets once per week. Classes meet mornings or evenings to permit some flexible scheduling for adjunct courses. Options to teach courses online are also available. Duties include the following:
• Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students within a Graphic Design curriculum.
• Developing and managing course syllabi and ensuring that syllabi meet Department and College standards.
• Planning and creating lectures, discussions, and course assignments.
• Providing regular and timely feedback to students and supervisors to promote student success.
• Ability to work with diverse students and colleagues and nurture inclusive classrooms.
• Submitting grades in a timely manner.
