The College of Education at Oregon State University seeks three teacher-scholars in the fields of literacy, social studies, and/or science in elementary education to help us prepare the next generation of K-12 teachers in Oregon and beyond. Serving as colleagues, leaders, and social just change-makers, these three assistant professors of practice will be charged with teaching that is informed by social justice principles and practice-oriented scholarship and service in the College of Education’s Department of Educational Practice and Research. All positions are full-time, 9-month appointments. 

OSU’s College of Education teacher education programs are designed to prepare excellent elementary and secondary school teachers who are ready to meet the needs and build on the assets of linguistically and culturally diverse students.

Our programs are offered both in-person at the Corvallis campus as well as through our top 10 online platform, Ecampus. More than half of course instruction will be delivered in-person on the Corvallis Campus with some opportunity for online course delivery as needed.

The position will be located in Corvallis, at Oregon State’s beautiful, historic and state-of-the-art main campus in one of America’s best college towns. Corvallis is located close to the Pacific Ocean, the Cascade mountains and Oregon wine country. Nestled in the heart of the Willamette Valley, this beautiful city offers miles of mountain biking and hiking trails, a river perfect for boating or kayaking and an eclectic downtown featuring local cuisine, popular events and performances.
