High Point University is currently seeking a Professor of the Practice of Management. The candidate must hold an earned masters and doctoral degree in Business Administration with at least 18 hours of graduate coursework closely related to business management, leadership, organizational behavior, or a related field.


Experience and Training:

  • A minimum of 15 years of business management experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years in a senior leadership position.
  • Teaching experience at the university level is highly preferred.


Knowledge, Skills, Ability:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and computer skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with a variety of teaching methods
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with diverse communities or evidence of a commitment to incorporate inclusive teaching methods and/or pedagogies to effectively engage broadly distinct student populations.
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
  • Ability to write scholarly documents
  • Ability to work with and teach using electronic records



  • Participate in the academic life of the Department of Management & Entrepreneurship, the Phillips School of Business, and High Point University to include attendance at department and faculty meetings, committees and working groups, participation in assurance of learning, curriculum development, and active engagement in scholarly activities.
  • Develop, coordinate, and teach at least three courses in the fall semester and three courses in the spring semester within High Point University’s Phillips School of Business’s undergraduate and/or graduate programs.
  • Provide mentorship and advisement for students in the School of Business as appointed by Dean’s Office and Department Chair
  • Abide by University and School of Business policies
  • Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Chair of the Department of Management & Entrepreneurship
