Job Summary

Drexel University College of Medicine invites applications for full-time tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.  Individuals whose research complements existing strengths in the department, including cancer biology, macromolecular structure-function, DNA replication and repair, DNA damage signaling, aging, apoptosis, molecular modeling, yeast genetics, and membrane proteins are encouraged to apply. Research laboratories are conveniently located in Center City Philadelphia, which offers a collegial and stimulating environment with many opportunities for collaboration. The Department also includes faculty from the Fox Chase Cancer and Wistar Institute who participate in the graduate programs. The Department occupies recently renovated space, including new state-of-the-art facilities for imaging, protein analysis (mass spec and biosensor) and crystallography; generous startup funds are available. Drexel University investigators are supported by a vibrant scientific community and state of the art core laboratories, including new genomic and bioinformatics facilities–among others.

Successful candidates will have a PhD and/or MD, relevant postdoctoral experience, and a strong record of research accomplishments.  Faculty are expected to establish vigorous, independent, and well-funded research programs and to participate in graduate and medical mentoring/education.

Essential Functions

  • Faculty are expected to establish vigorous, independent and well-funded research programs.
  • Faculty will participate in graduate and medical mentoring/education.

Required Qualifications

  • MD, PhD, equivalent doctoral degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related field

Preferred Qualifications
