Job Description

The primary responsibility of this position will be to assist with the management of a weed science field research program conducted under the direction of Dr. Kevin Bradley in the Division of Plant Science and Technology at the University of Missouri. The candidate’s specific responsibilities will be to manage small plot field research trials that are conducted to investigate various weed management practices and techniques in corn, soybean, wheat and pastures. This will require the candidate to be familiar with following specific protocols with regards to spraying, rating, and collection of field research data. The candidate will also be expected to prepare research reports from the field trial data generated; to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment with other staff, graduate students, and faculty in the weed science program; and to supervise undergraduate students in various research tasks.

Shift

Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

B.S. in biological or agricultural sciences and some experience with small plot field research is preferred.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $17.96 - $33.18 per hour.
