The UCLA Department of Spanish & Portuguese invites applications for full-time Lecturers for the 2024-2025 academic year to teach undergraduate courses for the Spanish language program in the Department of Spanish & Portuguese. The teaching load will be determined by the Department. A description of current Spanish language courses offered can be found in the UCLA Registrar's course catalog: https://registrar.ucla.edu/academics/course-descriptions.

  • cover letter, including specification of fields qualified to teach
  • curriculum vitae
  • three letters of recommendation, ideally including letters discussing the applicant's teaching record
  • statement of teaching philosophy
  • statement of contributions to diversity
  • copies of teaching evaluations or other evidence of teaching effectiveness

    Minimum educational degree required - Master's degree.

    The deadline for applications is March 31, 2024.
