Job Description:


Provide instruction for the Technology Solutions for the Hospitality & Tourism Industry (HRM145) course that serves students in the Hospitality & Tourism Management degree and for immediate placement in the workforce in the certificate programs. This course includes technology specific to the hospitality and tourism industry. Course to run during Q2 term, Spring 2024 semester.


  1. Provide on campus instruction utilizing educational technologies.
  2. Select and develop appropriate materials for class use to fulfill course learning outcomes.
  3. Track and assess student progress.
  4. Maintain appropriate attendance and learner records.
  5. Participate in ongoing professional development.



  1. Master's degree in Hospitality and Tourism or a related field (including Education) or bachelor's degree with significant content-specific industry experience.
  2. Effective pedagogical, teaching, and presentation skills.
  3. Experience using evidence-based strategies to support student success including frequent communication and active learning.
  4. Experience in the Hospitality and Tourism field in a Technology Management, Revenue Management, or related position.
  5. Ability to create a classroom environment that engages students and supports learning.
  6. Skill in using technology to support the writing, teaching, and learning processes.


  1. College-level teaching experience.
  2. Professional development in teaching at the community college level.
  3. Skill using MOODLE to support student learning.

COMPENSATION : Step 1 DCE pay scale. Part-time, non-benefited, MCCC Unit position
