Minimal Qualifications:

* An Associate’ degree in Industrial Technology or a qualifying field and a combination of formal training, work experience and professional tested experience that provide a foundation in the specific subject matter being taught; OR

* A combination of education, formal training, an apprenticeship in a related field, and professional tested experience; OR

* A high school diploma/ GED or higher and formal training, such as an apprenticeship in a related field and 5 years of professional tested experience.

Work Hours

Normally scheduled Monday through Friday; however, may be required to work other shifts to include evenings and/or weekends. Schedule subject to change based upon department needs.

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Brief Description of Duties:

Full-Time Faculty responsible for providing instruction in any or all of the following courses: Electrical Troubleshooting; Hydraulics and Pneumatics; Industrial Maintenance; Programmable Logic; Controllers; Solid State Control Systems; and Mechatronic Troubleshooting.

* Must be willing to teach day, afternoon, evening, weekend, and/or distance education courses.

* Advise students in this field for assessment, credentials and transfer to a four-year university.

* Develop, assess and revise Industrial Technology curriculum for diverse learners.

* Participate in school/community partnerships, advisory boards, and professional organizations.

* Participate in all aspects of course assessment, and program review.

* Participate in professional activities and development, including serving on district/division/department committees; represent MCC at statewide committees, and maintain professional memberships in order to stay current in the field.

* Familiarity with and use of multiple instructional strategies that recognize the diversity of student learning styles and needs.

* Commitment to the mission of the community college.

Special Requirements:

Specific Experience Required:

* Five (5) years of full-time verifiable industry experience.

Preferred Areas of Expertise:
  • Bachelor’s in industrial electrical/ industrial engineering technology, technical education or related discipline
  • Two (2) or more years of teaching experience
  • Experience with automated welding processes
  • Completion of a DOL approved apprenticeship program
  • Demonstrated PLC programming
  • Demonstrated HMI programming
  • Demonstrated Industrial Networking (I.I. OT)
  • Demonstrated Industrial Robotics and associated controls
