Position Description

The Project Management Program in the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts at Arizona State University invites applications for two Assistant Teaching Professor positions in our rapidly expanding BS and MS degrees. The successful candidates will prepare and teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in project management depending upon expertise, and they will participate in faculty service to the institution and profession. This appointment is 80% teaching (four courses per semester) and 20% service and begins August 16, 2024.

 

Guided by ASU's faculty and our deep collaboration with PMI and with industry and educational allies, our comprehensive range of undergraduate and graduate offerings, as well as certificate and non-degree workforce development initiatives, present multiple avenues for personal development, career engagement, and the advancement of knowledge.

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, non-tenure eligible position renewable on an academic-year basis contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of resources, and the needs of the university. The candidate must reside in Arizona or be willing to relocate.

Required Qualifications:

· PhD in Project management or related field OR master’s degree in project management/related field plus five years’ professional experience.

· Teaching or training experience.

· Ability to teach in digital environments such as Canvas (asynchronously and/or synchronously)

 

Desired Qualifications:

· Graduate degrees from one of ASU’s peer institutions or similar.

· Current PMP, CAPC, DASM, or Green Project Management certification OR the ability to secure a certification within one year.

· Two years’ post-secondary teaching or training experience.

· Experience developing and/or managing curriculum.

· Professional experience in budgeting, forecasting, or analytics in technological industries.

· Experience teaching in digital environments such as Canvas (asynchronously and/or synchronously)

· Evidence of activities consistent with the ASU Charter and Design Aspirations
