DePauw University Libraries invite applications for a renewable term position as Reference and Instruction Librarian and Coordinator of Library Technology with the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in July 2024. A MLS degree from an American Library Association (ALA), or equivalent, accredited master’s program is required as is undergraduate or graduate coursework, or academic library experience in Science or Business. A commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal arts setting and evidence of potential for effective and inclusive teaching are essential.

This position will liaise with either the Sciences or the School of Business and Leadership, depending on the successful candidate’s area of expertise, and provide library instruction and one-on-one research consultations. Working collaboratively with other library staff, this librarian will coordinate the adoption, implementation, and maintenance of common library technology tools. The ideal candidate will have experience with discovery services (currently WorldCat Discovery), digital repositories (currently CONTENTdm, ArchivesSpace, and Digital Commons), and other library products (e.g. Springshare and ThirdIron).
