Position Description Summary/Purpose :

The University of Bridgeport is seeking candidates for the position of International Admissions Coordinator. The International Admissions Coordinator is responsible for data entry and processing of application materials for prospective students. This position will be located in Bridgeport, CT.

Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities :

  • Perform data entry and process inquiries and applications.
  • Monitor the flow of data between Admissions and University systems.
  • Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Ensure data integrity by processing corrections as needed.
  • Execute mailings for the Admissions Office, i.e. printing Admission letters.
  • Process print orders as needed.
  • Open, sort, and distribute mail to Admissions staff.
  • Conducts all work in a safe manner and all work safety practices are followed.
Other Functions :
  • Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates.
  • Greet prospective students and visitors as needed.
  • Answer phones and refer callers to appropriate department and/or staff members.
  • Perform similar or related work as needed.
  • Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort.
  • Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends.
  • Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort.

Minimum Required Qualifications :

Education, Training and Experience :
  • Associates Degree (preferred)
  • Customer Service Experience preferred but not required
