We invite applications from candidates who complement existing anatomy and physiology strengths in
the department. The successful candidate is expected to prep, train and supervise teaching assistants
for BIOS 1100: Biological Sciences Laboratory (a WMU Essential Studies science lab that provides hands on
experiences in environmental and general biology). In addition, the individual will be teaching two
additional freshman or sophomore level biology classes per term depending on exact expertise and
interest. The additional courses could include BIOS 1120 (Principles of Biology), BIOS 1600 (Biological
Form and Function), BIOS 1910 (Intro to Human Biology and Anatomy), BIOS 2110 (Human Anatomy), or
BIOS 2400 (Human Physiology). A PhD and relevant teaching experience are required. Compensation is
competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, with an excellent benefits package,
