Position Summary
The College of Family and Consumer Sciences at the University of Georgia is seeking qualified applicants for the position of ASPIRE Clinic Director. This position includes appointment at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor.
The Clinic Director supports all operations, training, budgetary, compliance/oversight, & programmatic/experiential learning/outreach functions and decision-making for the ASPIRE Clinic and also participates in curricular development and efforts with the College’s Behavioral Financial Planning and Financial Therapy certificate, Relational Therapy Practice certificate (in development), and a proposed Couple and Family Therapy MS program.
The Clinic Director supervises undergraduate interns and clinical placements in the ASPIRE clinic and teaches advanced courses in Couple and Family Therapy at the master’s or doctoral level. The Clinic Director also teaches courses in Financial Planning/Behavioral Financial Planning and Financial Therapy at the advanced undergraduate and graduate levels.

The ASPIRE Clinic, a unit of the College of Family and Consumer Sciences at the University of Georgia ( UGA ), contributes to the university and the local community by offering affordable and accessible holistic services in mental health therapy and financial planning/counseling. ASPIRE works with community partners to provide services to the Athens area and currently partners with several UGA entities, including the Law School, School of Social Work, and the College of Education’s Professional Counseling program.
