The Outreach Program Manager serves as the primary manager of outreach and community engagement programming. The position provides guidance for outreach and community engagement program planning, implementation and evaluation. The manager promotes stable and productive relationships between the University and the community. The manager strives to expand and ensure access to programs, facilities and educational services to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities
  • Supervises the implementation of outreach program focused strategic planning initiatives and objectives that align with the mission of UW Oshkosh.

  • Develops and implements operating policies and procedures to promote the outreach program in alignment with the strategic plan.

  • Creates and monitors unit budget.

  • Provides input on the design and development of new outreach programs and services.

  • Determines outreach program needs and the personnel resource allocation plan
  • May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees

Qualifications
Required:
  • Master’s degree

  • Experience in program design and evaluation

  • Experience with the Continuing Education Unit (CEU) and Continuing Education Hour (CEH) award process

  • Excellent communication skills including writing and speaking

  • Computer literate (MS Office Suite) with the ability to learn new software applications

  • Excellent organization and prioritizing skills

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Flexibility in work schedule and environment

  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion


Preferred: 3-5 years program planning and management experience in a higher education setting
